Bobby is a Man of God Living out The Word of God led by The Spirit of God. Jesus became “his Savior” as a teenager, but not “his Lord”. He finally started figuring out Christ’s Lordship in his 20’s.

Bob grew up in CT and had a 44-year career as a Biomedical Engineer, trained at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. He served on the FCA Duval River East Board for 2 years prior to coming on staff as the Mandarin Area Rep in Oct 2025.

Bob is driven to build the next generation of believers and leaders(Judges 2:10 and Proverbs 20:29). He sees sports as being one of the best platforms in today’s times to model and teach Christ-Centered life lessons. A perfect match with FCA’s mission to lead every coach and athlete towards a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and his church.

As an Engineer, he designed medical devices for stimulating the Heart, Mind and Strength.

Wait, What about the Soul?

Bob has also been stimulating Souls for Christ as a Youth Leader, Teacher, Elder and Men’s Leader. In 2000, he helped with the founding of the National Men’s Ministry Iron Sharpens Iron, hosted here in Jax since 2017.

What about family? Bob is married to Cissy Starratt, raised in Jax, went to Bishop Kenny and USF. She has degrees in Special Education and Guidance Counseling. Her Dad was Chief of Detectives for JSO; Mom was a nurse. Bob and Cissy have 2 Sons, 1 Daughter & Daughter-in-Law plus 2 grandchildren, who all live in NYC and NJ.

What about Sports? Bob played HS Football and never lost a game until he got to college. He played DIII football at Case, was Captain and All-Conference. He played club Rugby and Lacrosse after college. He has coached boys and girls youth soccer, baseball, softball & hockey. He has won 2 town championships.

To God be the Glory, thank you for his story.
