Jabin Bates joined the Jax Collegiate FCA team in the fall of 2025. He graduated from the University of North Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and a minor in Leadership. While at UNF, Jabin played catcher for the baseball team, served on the FCA student leadership team, and participated in the Ritz-Carlton Leadership Experience Apprenticeship Program.

After transferring to UNF during his junior year, Jabin became involved with FCA through teammates and staff who invested in him spiritually. He was baptized in January 2024 and quickly developed a passion for growing in his faith and helping others do the same. Throughout his junior and senior years, FCA played a significant role in his spiritual growth and leadership development.



During his senior year, Jabin sensed God calling him into ministry. Joining Jax Collegiate FCA has given him the opportunity to combine his passion for sports with his heart for serving and discipling college athletes and coaches through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
