Kimberly Govan has worked and volunteered in the nonprofit sector for 17+ years. Her areas of expertise include organizational development, fund development, community outreach, membership, facilitation, nonprofit strategy, program coordination, event planning, leadership development, and grant writing & review, process development, nonprofit curriculum development, Board recruitment and Board engagement, staff onboarding and management. She also specializes in helping organizations grow their capacity to meet their mission through training, leadership development, strategic thinking and planning, research and processes and procedures implementation. 


Kimberly worked at the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida as Senior Director of Membership & Community Outreach for the majority of her nonprofit career. Currently, she is the Director of Curriculum and Training for Passing Lane, LLC.


A few of Kimberly’s Board service includes Horse Sense and Sensitivity (chair), Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) First Coast Chapter, and Planned Giving Council (chair). She has volunteered in several capacities with nonprofit organizations and private Foundations including grant reviewer for the Florida Blue Foundation and consulting for the Hope School Project in Ndhiwa, Kenya Africa. 

A native of South Carolina, Kimberly graduated from South Carolina State University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development. 



Kimberly has one son whom she enjoys spending time with. She has a love for God and ministry, Health, Holistic Health, Equestrian, Social Media Content Creation and more.
