Melissa was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. She was a collegiate swimmer at Gardner-Webb University. She and her husband, Andrew, actually met on a blind date to FCA while at GWU. Following college, Melissa went straight into the classroom where she was an Elementary Education teacher. After having their children (Luke, Ella, and Eden) Melissa became a stay-at-home mom and homeschooled her children through high school. 

It was while being on the board for FCA, where God called Melissa into full-time ministry with FCA. She now serves as the Area Director for South St Johns. Melissa has a heart to share the Gospel with every coach and athlete.
